Privacy Notice

Ottawa Padel Community ("OPC"), Ottawa, Ontario, decides how and why your personal information is used on this website, so it is the controller of that information. This notice follows Canada's PIPEDA.

What we collect and why

• Account details (name, email, password, gender): to create your account, place you in the right league and pair solo players. Needed to provide the service you sign up for.
• Skill level (your own rating plus a league rating only admins can see): to balance teams. Used in our legitimate interest in running fair leagues.
• League activity (registrations, team invites, schedules, reported scores): to run the season and show standings.
• Payment status (paid or pending, and the method): to confirm your spot. We do not see or store card numbers.
• Technical data (IP address, browser and device information): to keep the site secure and prevent fraud.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that host and run this website and its database.
• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, which handles card sales, payments, tax and invoicing.
• Other players in your league see your name, team and scores.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting), and authorities when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active and as long as we need it for league records and legal or accounting obligations. After that we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent, by emailing OttawaPadelCommunity@gmail.com. We'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls and limited admin access.

Cookies

We only use essential browser storage to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
